Agkathopes

The beach of Agathopes boasts some unique features set to impress every visitor. There are many beaches with crystal clear waters, wonderful sandy coasts and plenty of facilities. But only Agathopes beach is home to the beautiful “sand lily”, the gorgeous flower growing on the sands. Only Agathopes beach is opposite the small islets of Strongylo and Schinonissi, blending in wonderfully with all the surroundings. In springtime, Agathopes is also a meeting point for the famous Monachus monachus seals. The lighthouse right on the edge of the cape adds to the beautiful surroundings. And two more fabulous beaches, Komito and Finikas, are just a swim away.

Apart from all the above, Agathopes is easily accessible and offers plenty of food and drink options. A lively and bustling area with a plethora of activities both in and out of the sea. Located 14km away from Hermoupolis, on the southwestern part of the island, Agathopes is accessible by car and by bus.
