Kini beach is located on the western part of Syros, a mere 9 km away from Hermoupolis. It is the best spot on the island where you can enjoy a truly unique sunset. The blue, crystal clear waters, the wide beach and the lovely view across the sea and the surrounding low hills, all make up a magnificent landscape. The area is well-organized in terms of tourist infrastructure and activities and has a quaint harbor.

You can choose to spend the whole day in Kini and plan for a visit to the titular village and the local “Museum of Fishing Vessels, Tools, Aquatic organisms and Shells”. If you are into festivals and traditional cultural events, do not miss the celebration of Aghios Petros and the local custom of “Fotarides” celebrated annually on August 15. Taking part in the local customs and tasting the excellent food offered will certainly complete your experience. You can reach Kini by car, by bus or by private boat. From Kini, there is also a small boat taking you to the island’s secluded beaches.
